7. Advice for proper use /
Safety instructions
A
Checks before
each operation
You are responsible for the
safety of the working area.
Before each use, inspect the
unit. Do not use the unit if safety
devices (e.g. safety switch) and/
or blades have been damaged
or are worn. Never operate the
unit with the safety devices
by-passed or missing.
Inspect the area to be cut before
and during work. Remove any
foreign objects (e.g. stones)
from the area.
If, in spite of care, there is an
obstruction when cutting, turn
off the Grass Shears / Grass
Cutter and remove it. Look for
possible damage and have the
unit be repaired if necessary.

Proper use /
responsibility
These Grass Shears / Grass
cutter can cause serious injuries!
The cutting blades should be
regularly checked for damage
and repaired if necessary.
Only use the Grass Shears /
Grass Cutter for the purposes
specified in these instructions.
You are responsible for the
safety of the working area.
Make sure that there are no other
people (especially children) or
animals anywhere near the work-
ing area.
After use, remove the Accu
from the unit.The Grass Shears /
Grass Cutter – especially the
cutting blades – should regularly
be checked for damages and
adequately repaired if necessary.
Wear non-skid shoes and long
trousers to protect your legs.
Keep hands and feet away from
the cutting blades!
Ensure that you stand firmly
and safely. Be extra careful when
walking backwards.You might
stumble!
Only work when visibility is
good.
Wear eye protection or protec-
tive glasses!
A Interrupting work
Never leave the Grass Shears /
Grass Cutter unattended in the
working area. If you should inter-
rupt your work, store the Grass
Shears / Grass Cutter in a safe
place and remove the Accu from
the unit.
Should you stop work in order
to get to another working place,
always switch off the Grass
Shears / Grass Cutter to go
there. Remove the Accu from
the unit.
A Check environment
Familiarise yourself with the
surroundings of your working
area. Check for possible risks
which may not be audible due
to the noise of the machine.
