LIMITED WARRANTY
ELECTROLUX HOME PRODUCTS, INC.,
warrants to the original purchaser that each
new
Weed Eater
brand gasoline tool or at-
tachment is free from defects in material and
workmanship andagrees to repair or replace
under this warranty any defective gasoline
product or attachment as follows from the
original date of purchase.
2YEARS--
Parts and Labor, when used for
household purpos es.
60 DAYS --
Parts and Labor, when used for
commercial, professional, or income produc-
ing purposes.
30 DAYS --
Parts andLabor, if used for rental
purposes.
This warranty isnot transferable and doesnot
cover damage or liability caused by improper
handling, improper maintenance, or the use
of accessories and/or attachments not spe-
cifically recommended by
ELECTROLUX
HOME PRODUCTS, INC.,
for this tool. Addi-
tionally, this warranty does not cover tune-
ups, spark plugs, filters, starter ropes, starter
springs, cutting line, or rotating head parts
that will wear and require replacement with
reasonable use during the warranty period.
This warranty does not cover predelivery set-
upor normal adjustments explained inthe op-
erator’s manual.
THIS WARRANTY GIVES YOU SPECIFIC
LEGAL RIGHTS, AND YOU MAY HAVE
OTHER RIGHTS WHICH VARY F ROM
STATE TO STATE.
NO CLAIMS FOR CONSEQUENTIAL OR
OTHER DAMAGES WILL BE ALLOWED,

warr anty on your year 2002--2004 small off--
road engi ne. ELECTROLU X HOME PR O D-
UC TS, INC., must warrant the emission control
systemonyoursmalloff--roadengineforthepe-
riods of time listed below pr ovided there has
been no abuse, neglect, or improper mainte-
nanceof yoursmall of f--roadengine. Your em is-
sion control system includes parts such as the
carburetor and the ignition system. Where a
war rantable condition exists, ELECTRO LU X
HOME PRODUCTS,INC., will r epairyoursmall
off--road engine at no cost to you. Expenses
covered under warr anty include diagnosis,
parts and labor.
MANUFACTURER’S WAR-
RANTY COVERAGE:
If any emissions r elated
part on your engine (as listed under Em issions
ControlWarr antyParts List)isdefectiveorade-
fect i n the materials or workmanship of t he en-
gine causes the failure of such an emission re-
lated par t, t he part w ill be repaired o r replaced
by ELECTROLUX HOME PRODUCTS, INC.
OWNER’S W ARRANTY R ESPONSIBILI-
TIES:
As the small off--road engine owner, you
are r esponsible for the perform ance of the re-
quired maintenance listed in your instruction
manual. ELECTR OLU X HOM E PRO DUCTS,
INC., recommends that you r etain all receipts
covering m aintenance o n y our small off--road
engine, but ELECTR O LU X HOME PROD-
UC TS, INC ., c annot deny war r anty s olely for
the lack of receipts or for your failure to ensure
the performance of all scheduled maintenance.
As the small of f--road engine owner, y ou should
be awar e t hat ELECTR O LU X HOM E PR OD-
UC TS, INC ., may deny you warr anty c overage
if your small off--road engine or a par t of it has
failed due to abuse, neglect, impr oper mainte-
nance, unapproved modifications, or the use of
parts not made or approved by the original
equipment manufacturer. You a r e responsible
for presenting your small o ff--road engine t o an
ELECTROLUX HOME PRODUCTS, INC., au-
thorized repaircenter as soon as aproblem ex-
ists. War r anty repairs should be completed in a
reasonable amount of time, not to exceed 30
days. If you have anyquestions regar dingyour
war r anty rights and responsibilities, you should
contact your nearest aut hor ized service center
or call ELECTROLUX HOME PRODUCTS,
