THROTTLE LINKAGE INSTALLATION
(SHC-2400, HCA-2400)
NOTE
The engine is delivered separated from shaft tube. The throttle
linkage and stop switch wires are attached to the rear handle.
1. Close choke and remove air filter cover.
2. Loosen outer 10mm nut (A) on throttle linkage.
3. Insert throttle linkage in fan cover slot (B).
4. Finger tighten nut (A) and attach the inner linkage to the swivel (C)
on the carburetor throttle plate.
NOTE
It is important that the head of the throttle linkage fits inside the
slot well of the swivel (C).
5. Tighten the 10mm linkage nuts (A).
6. Check throttle for freedom of movement and make sure it returns to
idle position. If the throttle cable does not allow the carburetor
throttle plate (D) to return to idle against idle screw (E), loosen
cable nuts; turn throttle cable nut (A) counter clockwise until
throttle plate (D) rests against idle screw (E). Hold cable nut (A)
from turning and tighten other cable nut.
6. Connect ground wire terminal under screw on fan housing.
7. Connect stop switch wire to stop wire on engine.
8. Install air filter and cover.
