YOUR WARRANTY RIGHTS AND OBLIGATIONS
TheCaliforniaAirResourcesBoardand MTDConsumerGroupInc.are pleasedtoexplaintheevaporativeemissioncontrolsystemwarrantyonyour2007lawnmower.
In California,newlawnmowermustbe designed,builtandequippedto meetthe State'sstringentanti-smogstandards.MTDConsumerGroupInc.mustwarrantthe
EECSon yourlawn mowerforthe periodoftimelistedbelowprovidedtherehasbeen noabuse,neglectorimpropermaintenanceofyourlawnmower.
YourEECSmayincludepartssuchasthe carburetor,fuel-injectionsystem,theignitionsystem,catalyticconverter,fueltanks,fuel lines,fuelcaps,valves,canisters,
filters,vaporhoses,clamps,connectors,and otherassociatedemission-relatedcomponents.
Wherea warrantableconditionexists,MTDConsumerGroupInc.will repairyour lawnmowerat nocostto youincludingdiagnosis,partsandlabor.
MANUFACTURER'S WARRANTY COVERAGE:
Thisevaporativeemissioncontrolsystemis warrantedfortwo years.Ifanyevaporativeemission-relatedpartonyourequipmentisdefective,the partwill berepairedor
replacedby MTDConsumerGroupInc.
OWNER'S WARRANTY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Asthelawnmowerowner,youareresponsiblefor performanceoftherequiredmaintenancelistedinyourowner'smanual.MTDConsumerGroupInc. recommendsthat
youretainall receiptscoveringmaintenanceon yourlawnmower,butMTDConsumerGroupInc.cannotdenywarrantysolelyforthe lackof receipts.
Asthe lawnmowerowner,youshouldhoweverbeawarethatMTDConsumerGroupInc.maydenyyouwarrantycoverageifyourlawnmoweror a parthasfaileddue
to abuse,neglect,orimpropermaintenanceorunapprovedmodifications.
Youareresponsiblefor presentingyourlawnmowerto MTDConsumerGroupInc.'sdistributioncenteror servicecenteras soonasthe problemexists.Thewarranty
repairsshouldbecompletedin areasonableamountoftime,nottoexceed30days.Ifyouhavea questionregardingyourwarrantycoverage,youshouldcontactyour
localCubCadetdealer.Toreachthe MTDConsumerGroupInc.ServiceDepartment,pleasecall(800)800-7310.
GENERAL EMISSIONS WARRANTY COVERAGE:
MTDConsumerGroupInc.warrantsto the ultimatepurchaserandeachsubsequentpurchaserthatthe lawnmoweris:Designed,builtandequippedsoas to conform
withallapplicableregulations;andfreefromdefectsin materialsandworkmanshipthat causethe failureof awarrantedpart tobe identicalinall materialrespectsto
thatpart asdescribedin MTDConsumerGroupInc.'sapplicationfor certification.
Thewarrantyperiodbeginsonthe datethe lawnmoweris deliveredto anultimatepurchaseror first placedintoservice.The warrantyperiodistwo years.
Subjectto certainconditionsand exclusionsas statedbelow,the warrantyon emission-relatedpartsis asfollows:
1. Anywarrantedpartthat is notscheduledfor replacementas requiredmaintenanceinthe writteninstructionssupplied,is warrantedforthe warrantyperiodstated
above.Ifthe partfailsduringthe periodof warrantycoverage,the part willberepairedorreplacedby MTDConsumerGroupInc.accordingtosubsection(4)below.
Anysuch partrepairedor replacedunderwarrantywill bewarrantedforthe remainderof the period.
2. Anywarrantedpartthat is scheduledonlyfor regularinspectioninthewritteninstructionssuppliediswarrantedforthe warrantyperiodstatedabove.Anysuchpart
repairedor replacedunderwarrantywillbewarrantedforthe remainingwarrantyperiod.
3. Anywarrantedpartthat is scheduledfor replacementasrequiredmaintenanceinthewritteninstructionssuppliedis warrantedforthe periodoftime beforethefirst
scheduledreplacementdateforthat part.Ifthe partfailsbeforethe firstscheduledreplacement,the part willberepairedorreplacedbyMTDConsumerGroupInc.
accordingtosubsection(4)below.Anysuch part repairedor replacedunderwarrantywill bewarrantedfor theremainderof the periodpriorto thefirst scheduled
replacementpointfor thepart.
4. Repairorreplacementof anywarrantedpart underthe warrantyprovisionshereinmustbe performedat a warrantystationat nochargeto the owner.
5. Notwithstandingtheprovisionsherein,warrantyservicesorrepairswillbe providedat allof ourdistributioncentersthatarefranchisedto servicethesubjectengines
orequipment.
6. Thelawnmowerownerwillnotbechargedfordiagnosticlaborthat isdirectlyassociatedwith diagnosisof adefective,emission-relatedwarrantedpart,provided
thatsuch diagnosticwork isperformedata warrantystation.
7. MTDConsumerGroupInc.is liablefor damagesto otherengineorequipmentcomponentsproximatelycausedby a failureunderwarrantyof anywarrantedpart.
8. Throughoutthe lawnmowerwarrantyperiodstatedabove,MTDConsumerGroupInc.willmaintaina supplyof warrantedpartssufficientto meettheexpectedde-
mandfor suchparts.
9. Anyreplacementpartmaybeusedinthe performanceof anywarrantymaintenanceor repairsand mustbeprovidedwithoutchargetothe owner.Suchusewillnot
reducethe warrantyobligationsofMTDConsumerGroupInc.
10.Add-onor modifiedpartsthat arenotexemptedbytheAir ResourcesBoardmaynotbeused.The useofanynon-exemptedadd-onormodifiedpartsbythe ultimate
purchaserwillbegroundsfor disallowinga warrantyclaims.MTDConsumerGroupInc.willnot beliableto warrantfailuresof warrantedpartscausedbythe useof
a non-exemptedadd-onor modifiedpart.
WARRANTED PARTS:
Therepairor replacementof anywarrantedpartotherwiseeligiblefor warrantycoveragemaybe excludedfromsuch warrantycoverageif MTDConsumerGroupInc.
demonstratesthatthe lawnmowerhasbeenabused,neglected,orimproperlymaintained,andthatsuchabuse,neglect,or impropermaintenancewasthedirectcause
of theneedforrepairor replacementofthe part.Thatnotwithstanding,anyadjustmentofa componentthat hasa factoryinstalled,andproperlyoperating,adjustment
limitingdeviceisstill eligiblefor warrantycoverage.Thefollowingemissionwarrantyparts listare covered:FuelLine, FuelLineClamps
