5. Remove the flat washer and hairpin clip from the end
of the chute directional control.
a. Insert the end of the chute directional control into
the lower bracket.
b. Secure with the flat washer and hairpin clip just
removed. See Figure 5.
NOTE: If necessary, the lower bracket can be adjusted.
Refer to Chute Bracket Adjustment. on Page 17.
6. Check that all cables are properly routed through the
cable guide on top of the engine. See Figure 6.
The extension cord is fastened with a cable tie to the rear
of the auger housing for shipping purposes. Cut the cable
tie and remove it before operating the snow thrower.

Shear Pin Storage
An area for convenient shear pin storage is located under
the plastic dash panel. See Figure 7.
