ENGINE
FUEL SYSTEM
IMPORTANT: It is important to prevent
gum deposits from forming in essential fuel
system parts such as carburetor, fuel filter,
fuel hose, or tank during storage. Also,
experience indicatesthat alcohol blenl
fuels (called gasohol or using ethanolt
methanol) can attract moisture which t
to separation and formation of acids dl
storage. Acidic gas can damage the fu
system of an engine while in storage.
Drain the fuel tank.
i
Start the engine and let it run until th
fuel lines and carburetor are empty. ,,
Never use engine or carburetor cleafl
products in the fuel tank or Permane_ '
damage may occur.
Use fresh fuel next season.
NOTE: Fuel stabilizer isan acceptable_,
alternative in minimizing the formation
fuel gum deposits during storage. Add
bilizer to gasoline in fuel tank or storag_
container. Always follow the mix ratio _I_
found on stabilizer container. Run eng.ir_
at least 10 minutes after adding Stab,liz_
to allow the stabilizer to reach the carbu_
tor. Do not drain the gas tank and carbu'd
tot if using fuel stabilizer.
ENGINE OIL
Drain oil (with engine warm) and replace _
with clean engine oil. (See =ENGINE" in
the Maintenance section of this manual).'
CYUNDER(S)

cause problems.
If possible, store your tractor indoors
and cover it to give protection from dust
and dirt.
Cover your tractor with a suitable protec-

Do not use plastic. Plastic cannot
breathe, which allows condensation to
