The REVERSECAUTIONMODEpositionofthe keyswitchmodule
allowsthe tractorto beoperatedinreversewiththe blades(PTO)
engaged.

Touse theREVERSECAUTIONMODE:

1. Startengineas instructedunderthe headingStartingTheEngine
laterinthissection.
2. Turnthe keyfromthe NORMALMO%NG (Green)positionto the
REVERSECAUTIONMODE(Yellow)positionofthe keyswitch
module.SeeFigure7.
3. Depressthe REVERSEPUSHBUTTON(Orange,Triangular
Button)at thetop,rightcornerof thekeyswitchmodule.Thered
indicatorlightat thetop,leftcornerof the keyswitchmodulewill
beON whileactivated.SeeFigure7.

4. Onceactivated(indicatorlightON),the tractorcan bedrivenin
reversewiththe cuttingblades(PTO)engaged.

6. Afterresumingforwardmotion,returnthekeyto the NORMAL
MO%NG position.
iMPORTANT: The REVERSECAUTIONMODEwillremainactivated
until:

Thekeyisplacedineitherthe NORMALMO%NGposition
orSTOPposition.
Theoperatorengagestheparkingbrakeby fullydepressing
the clutch-brakepedalandholdingit downwhilemovingthe
speedcontrolleverintothePARKBRAKEposition.
ENGAGING THE PARKING BRAKE
To engage the parking brake:
1. Fullydepressthe clutch-brakepedaland holditdownwithyour
foot.
2. Movethe speedcontrolleverall the waydownandintothe
parkingbrakeposition.
3. Releasetheclutch-brakepedalto allowthe parkingbraketo
engage.
To release the parking brake:
1. Depressthe clutch-brakepedaland movethespeedcontrollever
out ofthe parkingbrakepositionandintoadesiredspeed.
SETTING THE CUTTING HEIGHT
1. Selectthe heightpositionof thecuttingdeckby placingthe deck
liftleverin anyof the sixdifferentcuttingheightnotchesonthe
rightsideof thefender.
Keephandsandfeetawayfromthe dischargeopeningofthe cutting
deck.
STARTING THE ENGINE
Donot operatethe tractorif theinterlocksystemis malfunctioning.
Thissystemwasdesignedfor yoursafetyand protection.
NOTE: Refertothe GasolineandOilfill-up instructionsearlierin this
section.
1. Insertthe tractorkeyintothe ignitionswitch.
2. Placethe PTO(BladeEngage)leverin thedisengaged(OFF)
position.
3. Engagethetractor'sparkingbrake.
4. Activatethechokecontrolby movingthethrottle/chokeleverall
the wayupinto thechokeposition.
5. Turnthe ignitionkeyclockwiseto theSTARTposition.Afterthe
enginestarts,releasethe key.Itwill returntothe ON(or Normal
Mowing)position.
DO NOTholdthe keyinthe STARTpositionfor longerthan ten
secondsat a time. Doingso maycausedamageto your engine's
electricstarter.
6. Afterthe enginestarts,deactivatethechokecontrolandplacethe
throttlecontrolin the FASTposition.
NOTE: DoNOTleavethe chokecontrolon whileoperatingthe tractor.
Doingso willresultina "rich"fuelmixtureandcausetheengineto run
poorly.
