USING THE DECK LIFT LEVER
Toraisethe cuttingdeck,movethe decklift levertothe left,then place
it in the notchbestsuitedfor yourapplication.RefertoSettingThe
CuttingHeightearlierinthis Operationsection.
MOWING
Tohelpavoidbladecontactor a thrownobjectinjury,keepbystand-
ers,helpers,childrenandpetsat least75feetfromthe machine
whileit is inoperation.Stopmachineif anyoneentersthearea.
Thefollowinginformationwill behelpfulwhenusingthecuttingdeck
withyourtractor:
Planyour mowingpatternto avoiddischargeof materialstoward
roads,sidewalks,bystandersandthe like.Also,avoiddischarging
materialagainsta wallor obstructionwhichmaycausedischarged
materialto ricochetbacktowardtheoperator.
HEADLIGHTS
Thelampsare ONwheneverthetractor'sengineis running.
Thelampsturn OFFwhentheignitionkeyis movedto theSTOP
position.
Do notmowat highgroundspeed,especiallyif a mulchkitor
grasscollectoris installed.
For bestresultsit is recommendedthatthe firsttwolaps becut
withthe dischargethrowntowardsthecenter.Afterthe first two
laps,reversethe directiontothrowthe dischargeto theoutside
for thebalanceof cutting.Thiswill givea betterappearanceto the
lawn.
Do notcut thegrasstoo short.Shortgrassinvitesweedgrowth
andyellowsquicklyindry weather.
Mowingshouldalwaysbedonewiththe engineatfull throttle.
Underheavierconditionsit maybenecessaryto go backoverthe
cutareaa secondtimeto geta cleancut.
Do NOTattempttomowheavybrushandweedsandextremely
tall grass.Yourtractoris designedto mowlawns,NOTclear
brush.
Keepthe bladessharpandreplacethe bladeswhenworn.Refer
