ToPreventFuel-RelatedProblems:
1. Addgasolinestabilizerfollowingthemanufacturer'sinstructions.
Whenaddinga gasolinestabilizer,fillthefueltankwithfresh
gasoline.Ifonlypartiallyfilled,air inthetankwillpromotefuel
deteriorationduringstorage.Ifyoukeepa containerofgasoline
forrefueling,be surethatitcontainsonlyfreshgasoline.
2. Afteraddinga gasolinestabilizer,runtheengineoutdoorsfor
10minutesto besurethattreatedgasolinehasreplacedthe
untreatedgasolineinthecarburetor.
3. TurnthefuelvalvetotheOFFposition.
4. Continuetoruntheengineuntilit stopsfromthelackoffuelinthe
carburetorfuelbowl.Runningtimeshouldbelessthan3 minutes.
PREPARING THE LAWN MOWER
• Cleanandlubricatemowerthoroughlyasdescribedinthe lubrica-
tioninstructions.
• Donotusea pressurewasheror gardenhosetocleanyourunit.
• Coatmower'scuttingbladewithchassisgreaseto prevent
rusting.
• RefertoPREPARINGTHE ENGINEforcorrectenginestorage
instructions.
• Storemowerin a dry,cleanarea.Donotstorenexttocorrosive
materials,suchasfertilizer.
Whenstoringanytypeofpowerequipmentina poorlyventilatedor
metalstorageshed,careshouldbetakentorust-prooftheequipment.
Usinga lightoil orsilicone,coattheequipment,especiallycablesand
all movingpartsof yourlawnmowerbeforestorage.
IMPORTANT:iffuelstabilizerisnotused,youneedtodraingasoline
fromequipmentpriortostorage.Runengineuntilitstopsfroma lack
offuel.
Performthefollowingbeforelong-termstorageofequipment:
1. Whileengineis stillwarm,changeoil.
2. Removesparkplugand pourapproximately1/2oz.(15ml)of
newengineoilintosparkplugcavitywhichputsoil intocylinder.
Replacesparkplugsecurely.
3. Pullstarterropeslowly.Thisturnstheengine'scrankshaftand
distributesoil throughtheengine.
4. Addfuelstabilizeror drainfuelfromengine.
5. Cleandirtanddebrisfromtopandall areasaroundengine.
6. Storein a clean,dryarea.
