Note:
Ensure the router is powered on before it restarts completely.
¾ WAN: A RJ45 port for connecting the router to a cable, DSL modem or Ethernet. Port 1 is a
fixed WAN port.
¾ WAN/LAN: Three RJ45 ports which can be adjusted to be WAN or LAN ports. By defaults,
port 2 is WAN port, while port 3 and port 4 are LAN ports.

Note:
The previous configurations will be cleared if the number of WAN/LAN ports is changed.
¾ LAN: A 10/100Mbps RJ45 port for connecting the router to the local PCs. Port 5 is a fixed
LAN port.
2.1.2 The Rear Panel
The rear panel of TL-R480T+ features a power receptacle and a Grounding Terminal (marked

).

¾ Grounding Terminal: The Router has adopted professional lightning protection technology
to prevent the lightning. However, to protect the router from lightning even safely, please
connect the Grounding Terminal of the Router to ground by the ground cable before
connecting the Router to the power, as shown in the following figure.
