Using USB
Enabling digital CD audio
In order to listen to CDs in your computer’s
CD-ROM drive via USB, you must enable digi-
tal CD audio for your CD-ROM drive as fol-
lows.
Windows 98/98SE
1 Open the Multimedia control panel and
click the CD Music tab.
2 Select the “Default CD-ROM drive for
playing CD music.”
3 Turn on “Enable digital CD audio for this
CD-ROM device.”
4 Click OK to close the control panel.
Windows 2000/Me
1 Open the System control panel.
2 If you are using Windows 2000, click the
Hardware tab, and then click the Device
Manager. If you are using Windows Me,
click the Device manager tab.
3 Select your CD-ROM drive from the list,
and then click the Properties button.
4 Click the Properties tab, and then turn
on “Enable digital CD audio for this
CD-ROM device.”
5 Click OK to close the window, and then
close the System control panel.
Note that if the CR-N1 has not been rec-
ognized successfully by your PC, or your
CD-ROM drive does not support digital
audio output, you will not be able to turn
on “Enable digital CD audio for this
CD-ROM device.”
