Replacing a PCI adapter
This procedure describes how to remove and replace a PCI adapter.
1. Open the computer cover. See “Opening the cover” on page 118.
2. Pivot the drive bay assembly upward to gain access to the system board.
3. Locate the cable clip. See “Locations” on page 114.
4. Remove all cables from the cable clip attached to the PCI riser.
5. Pull upward on the blue handle 1 to remove the PCI riser from the
computer.
6. Pivot the adapter latch upward and remove the failing adapter.
7. Remove the new adapter from its static-protective package.
