SECTION 2—SAFETY INSPECTION
NOTE:Everysixmonthsorasnecessarytakeyourreclinertoaqualifieddealerforathorough
inspectionandservicing.Regularcleaningwillreveallooseorwornparts andenhancethesmooth
operationofyourrecliner.Tooperateproperlyandsafely,yourreclinermustbecaredfor
appropriatelyasanyothervehicle.Routinemaintenancewillextendthelifeandefficiencyofyour
recliner.
Safety Inspection Checklists
CAUTION
As with any transport device, casters should be checked periodically for cracks and
wear and should be replaced as necessary.
Initialadjustmentsshouldbemadetosuityourpersonalbodystructureneedsand
preference.Thereafterfollowthesemaintenanceprocedures:
Inspect/Adjust Initially
❑ Ensurethatthereclinerrollsstraight(noexcessivedragorpulltooneside).
❑ Ensureseat,backand/orarmrestupholsteryhavenoripsanddonotsag.Replaceif
necessary.
❑ Ensurethattheseatupholsteryisfastenedtotheseatframe.
❑ Cleanseatupholsteryandarmrests.
❑ Inspectcasterassemblytoensureithaspropertensionwhencasterisspun.Caster
shouldcometoagradualstop.
❑ Loosen/tightencasterlocknutifwheelwobblesnoticeablyorbindstoastop.
❑ Ensurethatthe
casterassemblyisfreefromdebris.
❑ Inspectforanyloosehardwareontherecliner.
❑ Checkthatalllabelsarepresentandlegible.Replaceifnecessary.
❑ FORIH6077AONLY‐Ensurethatthetriggerreleasecablescompletelyreleaseandthe
handlesreturnwhenreleased.
❑ FORIH6077AONLY‐Inspectthegascylindersforleakingoil.
Inspect/Adjust Weekly
❑ Ensurethattheseatupholsteryisfastenedtotheseatframe.
❑ Ensureseat,backand/orarmrestupholsteryhavenoripsanddonotsag.Replaceif
