Installation instructions
Special requirements for CG604DWFC and CG905DWFC models
Gas connection to these cooktops MUST use the elbow supplied. Where a regulator is required
to satisfy local market regulations, it must be connected to the elbow to prevent gas leakage.
In some countries, the supplied elbow has a 1/2” taper male thread (Fig. 2a). In other countries,
the supplied elbow has a 1/2” parallel male thread and a conical adaptor (1/2” taper male
thread) may be supplied as well (Fig.2b).
Important!
The conical adaptor (if supplied) must be used only in the countries where it is required by the applicable
local regulations. Note: if installing the conical adaptor, remember to fit the fibre washer supplied between
the adaptor and the elbow.
Ensure the fibre washer (supplied) is located between the elbow (supplied) and cooktop gas
inlet (Figs. 2a and 2b). Failure to use this washer will cause the connection to leak. Tighten the
floating nut to firm finger tight, plus an additional ΒΌ turn (90
o
).
Gas connection with a flexible hose
Use a 900-1125 mm long flexible hose and ensure that all pipework is of correct rating for both
size and temperature.
The flexible hose shall be fitted in such a way that it cannot come into contact with a movable
part (eg drawer) and does not pass through any space susceptible of becoming congested.
Ensure that the appliance is restrained or secured so that the flexible hose cannot be strained.
The hose assembly must be as short as practicable and comply with relevant standards
requirements.
The hose must not be kinked, subjected to abrasion or permanently deformed.
The hose must not be near or in contact with any hot surfaces (eg base of metal hotplate, flue or
chassis of underbench oven etc).
For Natural gas (G20, G25, or G20/G25 depending on gas category):
In the United Kingdom, the flexible hose should comply with BS669. Parts of the appliance likely
to come in contact with a flexible hose have a temperature of less than 70
o
C.
In all other countries, the flexible hose should comply with local regulations and standards.
For LPG (G30 G31):
In the United Kingdom, use a bayonet-type hose suitable for use on LPG up to 50 mbar pressure
rise. The flexible hose must be certified for LPG and comply with local regulations and standards.
In all other countries, the flexible hose should comply with local regulations and standards.
