TUBINGINSTALLATION/PUMPHEADASSEMBLY
Inspectalltubingregularlyandreplaceifanysignofdeteriorationoccurs.Alwayswearsafety
glassesandprotectiveclothingwhenworkingwithchemicals.(SeeIllustrationsonpage6).
1. Disconnectpowertothepump.
2. Disconnectthesuctionanddischargetubingfromthepumptubing.(Iftheproduct
pumpedisnotcaustic,tubingmayberemovedbyrunningpumpandpullingon
thedischargetubeuntiltubingisremoved.Inthiscaseskipsteps4‐5).
3. Remove(2)screws(E)toreleasepumpheadassembly.
4. Removetubehousing(D)bygentlyrockingsidetosidewhilepullingoff.(In
most
casesrollerbracketshouldstayonshaft.Intheeventthatitisremovedwiththe
housing,lineupflatonshaftwithflatoninsideonbracketandpushbackinto
place.Thereisalsoatubingcoverring(A)thatshouldbeonupagainstthemotor
case.Thisisfreefloatinguntilthetubehousingisreplaced).
5. Removetubingfromrollerbracket.
6. Cleanrollerraceinsideoftubinghousing,removingandparticlesthatcould
damagetubing.Besureallcleaningsolventsareremovedpriortoinstallingnew
tube.
7. Toreassemble,rotaterollerbracketassemblysothattherollersareinthe
10:00,2:00,and6:00positions(seeIllustration1‐1).Laythetubeoverthe
toprollersandholdtheendstogetheratthe6:00position.Putthetube
housing(withtubeinletandoutletrestraintsdown)overtheroller
assemblyandthetube,locatingtheendsofthetubingintothetubeinlet
andoutletrestraints.
8. Presstubehousingontoshaftwhilegentlypullingdowntoalignshaftintotube
housingbearing.Presstubehousingflushtomotorcaseandreplacescrews.
CAUTION:Besurenottotwistorleavethetubingpinchedwhileinstalling,asthiswillaffect
yourflowandtubinglife.
