I bought this used at a garage sale, why is there a small hole drilled in the gas tank? is there a line missing or something?

0 It is an ongoing prank perpetrated by the Republicans. It will cause the trimmer to explode in a shower of flames taking out yet another garage saler. Not really. It is the place where the fuel return line is supposed to be inserted. It is surprisingly easy to pull it out. I pushed mine back in last year and it still works fine. It will however cause a fire if you run it without putting it back.
