I have a new Poulan P3314 which will run fine for about 5 minutes, then stop as if the ignition switch had been turned off. Won't start until cool.

5 I had the same kind of problem on an older saw -- I finally replaced the gasket (the original appeared to be perfectly fine) between the carburetor and the engine block and instantly fixed the problem. I think that when it got hot enough that air was drawn into the engine around the gasket as opposed to through the carburetor. I would first check to see if the carburetor is tight against the gasket and if not tighten. If it's tight then perhaps replacing the gasket will fix the problem.
