chased. LENGTH OF COVERAGE: This
warranty shall be for a period of two years
from the initial date of purchase, or until the
endof theproduct warranty(whichever islon-
ger).WHATISCOVERED:REPAIR ORRE-
PLACEMENT OF PARTS. Repair or re-
placement of any warranted part will be
performed atnochargeto theowner at anap-

. WARRANTY PE-
RIOD: Any warranted part which is not
sch eduledfor r eplacement as required main-
tenance, or which is scheduledonly for regu -
larinspectionto theeffectof “repairorreplace
as necessary” shall be w arrantedfor 2 years.
Any warranted partwhichis scheduledfor r e -
placement as requir ed maintenance shall be
warranted for the period of time up to the first
scheduled replacement point for t hat part.
DIAGNOSIS: The owner shall not be
charged for diagnostic labor which leads to
the determination that a warrantedpart is de-
fective if the diagnostic work i s performed at
anapprovedWEED EATER servicingcenter.
CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES: WEED
EA TER may be liable for damages to other
engineco m ponentscausedby the failure o fa
warranted part still under warrant y. WHATIS
NOTCOVERED: All failures caused by abuse,
neglect , or improper maintenance a re not co v-
ered. ADD--ON OR M OD IF I ED PARTS: The
use of add--onor modified parts can be g rounds
for disallowing awar ranty claim. WEED EAT-
ER is not liable to cover failures of warr anted
parts caused by the use of add--on or modified
parts. HOW TO FILE A CLAIM: If you have

WEED EATER approved replacement part
used in the performance o f any wa rranty
maintenance or repair on emission related
parts will be provided without charge to the
owner if the part i s under warranty. EMIS-

LIST: Carburetor, air filter (cover ed u p to main-
tenance schedule), ignition system: spark p lug
(covered up to maintenance schedule), i gnition
module, muffler including catalyst (if equipped),
fuel ta nk. MAINTENANCE STATEMENT:
Theowneris responsible fortheperformance
of all required maintenance as defined in the
instruction manual.
The information on the p roduct label indicates which standard your engine is ce rtified.

This engine is certified to be emissions compliant for the following use:
