FUEL SYSTEM
Under FUELING ENGINE in the OPERA-
TIONsectionofthis manual,seemessagela-
beled IMPOR TANT regarding the use of ga-
sohol in your engine.
Fuel stabilizer is an acceptable altern ative i n
minimizing th e formation of fue l gum d epo sits
d ur ing st or age. Add s t abilizer togaso line infu el
tank o r fuel storage container . Follow the mix
in str u ction s fo un d on stabilizer cont aine r. Run
e ngin eatleast 5minutes af te r addingstab ilizer.
ENGINE

Remove spark plugandpour1teaspoonof
40:1,2-cycle engineoil (aircooled)through
the spark plug opening. Slowly pull the
starter rope 8 to 10 times to distribute oil.
S
Replace sparkplugwith newoneofrecom-
mended type and heat range.
S
Clean air filter.
S
Check entire unit for loose screws, nuts,
and bolts. Replace any damaged, broken,
or worn parts.
S
At the beginning of the nex t season, use
only freshfuelhavingthepropergasolineto
oil ratio.
OTHER
S
Do not store gasoline from one season to
another.
S
Replaceyourgasolinecanif itstartstorust.
TROUBLE
CAUSE REMEDY
Engine will not
start.
1. Engine flooded.
2. Fuel tank empty.
