OPERATING THE COUPLER
Your powerhead is equipped with a coupler
which enables optional attachments to be
installed. The optional attachments are:
MODEL:
Edger
1000E.......................
Cultivator
2000T...................
Brushcutter
4000C.................
WARNING:
Always disconnect pow-
erhead spark plug (or disconnect powerhead
frompowersource) beforeremoving orinstal-
ling attachments.
REMOVING ATTACHMENT
CAUTION:
When removing or installing at-
tachments, place the unit on a flat surface for
stability.
1. Loosen the coupler by turning the knob
counterclockwise.

2. Pr ess and hold t he locking/release button.

3. While securely holding the upper tube,
pull the attachment straight out of the
coupler.
INSTALLING ATTACHMENT
1. Remove the tube cap from the attach-
ment (i f present) and discard.
2. Position locking/release button of attach-
ment into guide recessofupper tube cou-
pler.

3. Pushtheattachment into thecoupleruntil
the locking/release button s naps into the
primary hole.
4. Before using theunit, tighten the knobse-
curely by turning clockwise.
INSTALLING ATTACHMENT
HANGER
An attachment hanger isprovided for storage
whenattachment isnotinuse. Toinstall hang-
er on attachment:
1. Remove the tube cap from the attach-
ment (i f present) and discard.
2. Press and hold the locking/release but-
ton.
3. Push hanger onto the attachment until
the locking/release button s naps into the
hole.

WARNING:
Inspect the area before
using the unit. Remove all debris and hard
objects such as rocks, glass, wire, etc., that
can ricochet, be thrown, or ot herwise cause
injury or damage during operation.
Use your blower at tachment for:
S
Sweeping debris or grass clippings from
driveways, sidewalks, patios, etc.
S
Blowing grass clippings, straw, or leaves into
piles, or removing debr is from corners,
around joints, o r between bricks.
Control air flow by directing the blower dis-
charge openi ng down o r to one side. Alw ays
work away from solid objects such as walks,
large stones, v ehicles, and fences.
Cleancornersbystartingincornersandmoving
outward. This w ill help prevent anaccumulation
of debris which could fly into your face.
Be careful whenworking near plants. The force
of the air could damage tender plants.
