Troubleshooting
4
What length cables are you using? The B156-Series splitters have
been tested at a maximum distance of 16 ft. between the source
and splitter, and 35 ft. (25 ft. for B156-002) between the splitter
and connected monitors. Exceeding these lengths can decrease
performance
5
What type of cabling are you using? Inferior cabling can result in poor
performance, so it is important that you use cables that can support
the video resolution you are trying to obtain. It is recommended that
you use the Tripp Lite cables shown in the Optional Accessories listing
in this manual, as they have been tested to work with the B156-
Series Splitters.
6
Test your cables to ensure they are working properly. For example,
connect your DisplayPort cables between a source and monitor that
you know works to see if the cable is functioning.
7
Are you using a VGA to DVI adapter with the B156-002-DVI? The
B156-002-DVI supports DVI-D (Digital) only, and will not function if
connected to a VGA monitor.
8
If using a DVI to HDMI adapter with the B156-002-DVI or
B156-002-HDMI, you will only be able to transmit a video signal.
DVI does not support audio, and will not be able to send or receive an
audio signal.
