TO REMOVE WHEEL FOR REPAIRS
FRONT WHEEL (See Fig. 29) -
o Block up axle secure¥
. Remove axlecover, retaining ring and washers to allow
wheel removal
- Repair tire and reassemble,,
o Replace washers and snap retaining ring securely in
axle groove,,
. Replace axle cover_

REAR WHEEL -
o Block rear axle securely
° Remove five (5) hub bolts to atlow wheel removal.
o Repair tire and reassemble, Replace and tighten hub
bolts securely,
TO START ENGINE WITH A WEAK BATTERY
(See Fig. 30)
CAUTION: Lead-acid batteries gener-
ate explosive gases. Keep sparks, flame
and smoking materials away from bat-
terieso Always wear eye protection
when around batteries.
If your' batter:/is too weak to start the engine, it should be
recharged If "jumper cables" are used for emergency
starting, follow this procedure:
IMPORTANT: YOUR TRACTOR IS EQUIPPED WITH A t2
VOLT NEGATIVE GROUNDED SYSTEM° THE OTHER
VEH1CLE MUST ALSO BE A 12 VOLT NEGATIVE
GROUNDED SYSTEM. DO NOT USE YOUR TRACTOR
BATTERY TO START OTHER VEHICLES
TO ATTACH JUMPER CABLES -
o Connect each end of the RED cable to the POSITIVE
(+) terminai of each battery, taking care not to short
against chassis,
o Connect one end of the BLACK cable to the NEGA-
TIVE (-) terminal of fully charged battery_
= Connect the other end of the BLACK cable to a panel
bolt on the left side of the tractor, away from fuet tank
and battery..
TO REMOVE CABLES, REVERSE ORDER -
° BLACK cable first from chassis and fully charged
battery.
* RED cable last from both batteries.
"POSITIVE" (+) "NEGATIVE" (-)

TO REPLACE HEADLIGHT BULB
o Raise hood,
o Pull bulb holder out of the hole in the backside of the
grill
o Replace bulb in hoider and push bulb holder securely
back into the hole in the backside of the grill,,
° Close hood_
INTERLOCKS AND RELAYS
Loose or damaged wiring may cause your tractor tO run
poorly, stop running, or prevent itfrom starting.
= Check wiring° See electrical wiring diagram in Repair
Parts section of this manual

TO REPLACE FUSE
Replace with 30 amp autornotive-type plug-in fuse_ 'The
fuse holder is located behind the dash.
