STARTING AND STOPPING
See Figure 7.
NOTE: For added safety, your blower/vac has double safety
switching. If the blower/vacuum tube is not properly con-

tended and have not locked in place, the blower/vac will not
start. Check the troubleshooting guide later in this manual
for more information.
To start the blower/vac:

Attach the outlet end of an extension cord to the plug on
the cord at the rear of blower vac.
NOTE: Use only an approved outdoor extension cord as
described previously in this manual.

Route the extension cord through the side of the loop
located on the rear of the blower housing and place
underneath the cord retainer.
CAUTION:
Always secure extension cord to unit by using cord re-
tainer. Failure to use cord retainer may result in damage
to the unit and/or extension cord.
Connect the blower/vac to the power supply. The live tool
indicator will glow blue once the blower/vac is connected
to the electric power supply.

You can adjust the speed of the unit by turning the
variable speed control clockwise to increase speed or
counterclockwise to decrease speed.
WARNING:
Never run the unit without the vacuum tube and vacuum
bag installed. Use of an improperly assembled unit could
result in serious personal injury.
OPERATING THE BLOWER
See Figure 9.
To keep from scattering debris, blow around the outer
edges of a debris pile. Never blow directly into the center
of a pile.
To reduce sound levels, limit the number of pieces of
equipment used at any one time.
Use rakes and brooms to loosen debris before blowing.
In dusty conditions, slightly dampen surfaces when water
is available.
