Turning the Power On and Off
Connect one end of the supplied AC power cord to a grounded AC outlet, and the other
end to the AC INPUT connector to provide power for the S-4000D’s internal power supply.
To prevent the power cord from being unplugged inadvertently, you should secure the
power cord in place using the power cord clamp.

Lift up the power cord clamp, then insert
the power cord into AC INPUT on the rear
panel.

Lower the power cord clamp to secure the
power cord plug.
Once the connections have been completed, turn on power to your various devices in the
order specified. By turning on devices in the wrong order, you risk causing malfunction
and/or damage to speakers and other devices.

Connect the peripheral devices.

Set the [POWER] switch
on
the
unit’s
front
panel
to
ON
to
switch
on
the
power.

Turn on the power to the peripheral devices.
* REAC devices compatible with REAC EMBEDDED POWER may have no power switch. In such cases,
the power is switched on automatically when the device is connected to the unit.

Turn off the power to the peripheral devices.

Set the [POWER] switch on the unit’s front panel to OFF to switch off the
power
* If you need to turn off the power completely, first turn off the POWER switch, then unplug the
power cord from the power outlet. Refer to “Power Supply” (p. 5)

Use only the supplied power cord
to prevent damage to the units.

o prevent malfunction and/or
damage to speakers or other
devices, always turn down the
volume, and turn off the power
on all devices before making any
connections
Switching off the power to the
unit also stops the supply of
power to any REAC devices
compatible with REAC
EMBEDDED POWER that are
connected to the unit.
