STOP SWITCH
The ST OP switch is usedto stopthe engine. To
stop theengine, pu sh and hold theswitch in th e
ST OP po sition un til the engine stops.
PRIMER BULB
ThePRIMERBULBremovesairfromthecar-
buretor and fuel lines and fills them withfuel.
This allows you tostart theenginewith fewer
pulls on the s tarter rope. Activate the primer
bulb by pressing it and allowing it to returnto
its original form.
CHOKE
The CHOKE helps to supply fuel to the engine
to aid in cold starting. Activate the choke by
moving the choke le ver t o t he FULL CH OKE
position.Afte rtheengineattemptstostart,move
the cho ke lever t o t he H ALF CHOKE po sition.
Once engine ha s started, move thechokelever
to the R UN position.

Toobtainthecorrectoilmix
ratio, pour 3.2 ounces of
2--cycle synthetic oil into
one gallon of fresh gas.
This engine is certified to o pera te on unleaded
gasoline. Before operation, gasoline must be
mixed with a good qua lit y synthe tic 2 -cycle
air-cooled en gine oil d esigned to be mixed at a
ratio of 40:1. Poulan/Weed Eater brand
synthetic oil is recommended. Mix gasolineand
oil ata r atioof40:1. A40:1ratiois obtainedby
mixing 3.2ounces (95 ml)ofoil with1ga llon(4
liter s) of unleaded gasoline. DO NOT US E
a utomot ive oil or mar ine oil. These oils w ill
cause en gine d amage.Whenmixingfuel,follow
in struction s printed on co ntain er. Once oil is
adde dtogasoline,shake con tainermomentarily
to assure that the fuel is tho roughly mixed.

IMPORTANT
Experience indicates that alcohol blended
fuels (called gasohol or using ethanol or
methanol)canattractmoisturewhichleadsto
separationandformationofac ids duringstor-
age. Acidic gas can damage the fuel system
ofanenginewhilein storage. Toavoidengine
problems,empty thefuel system beforestor-
agefor 30days or longer. Drainthe gastank,
starttheengineandletitrununtilthefuellines
andcarburetorareempty .Usefresh fuelnext
season. Never use engine or carburetor clean-
er products in the fuel tank or permanent dam-
