2 YEARS -- Parts and Labor, w hen used for
household purposes.
60 DAYS -- Parts and Labor, when used for
commercial, professional, or income producing
purposes.
30 D AYS -- Parts and Labor, if used for rental
purposes.
This w ar r anty is not transfer able and does not
cover damage or liability caused by improper
handling, improper maintenance, or the use of
accessories and/or attachments not specifically
recommended by ELECTR OLUX H OME
PRODUCTS, INC., for this tool. Additionally ,
this w ar r anty does not cover tune--ups, s par k
plugs, f ilters, st ar ter r opes, starter spr ings,
cutting line, or rotating head parts that will w ear
and requir e r eplacement w ith r easonable use
during the w ar r anty period. This w ar r anty does
not cover predelivery setup or normal
adjustments e xplainedin the i nstructionmanual.
THIS WARRANTY GIVES YOU SPECIFIC

EMISSION CONTROL WARRANTY STATEMENT
YOUR WARRANTY RIGHTS AND OBLIGA-
TIONS: The U. S. Environmental Protection
Agency, Environment Canada and POULAN/
WEED EA TER, DIVISION OF WCI OUT-
DOOR PRODUCTS, INC., are pleased to ex-
plain the emissions control system w ar r anty on
your year 2001--2004 small of f--road engine.
POULAN/WEED EATER must warrant the
emission control system on your small off--road
engine for the periods of time listed below pr o-
vided there has been no abuse, neglect, or im-
proper maintenance of your small off--road en-
gine. Your emission control system includes
parts such as the carburetor and the ignition
system. Where a w arr antable condition exists,
POULAN/WEED EATER will repair your small
off--road engine at no cost to you. Expenses
covered under warranty include diagnosis,
parts and labor. MANUF ACTURER’S W AR-
RANTY COVERAGE: If any emissions related
part on your engine (as listed under Emissions
Control WarrantyParts List)is defectiveor ade-
fect in the materials or wor kmanship of the en-
gine causes the failure of such an emission re-
lated part, the par t will be repaired or replaced
by POULAN/WEED EATER. OWNER’S
W ARRANTY RESPONSIB ILITIES: As the
small of f--road engine owner, you are r esponsi-
ble for the performance of the r equired mainte-
nance listed i n your instruction manual. PO U-
LAN/WEED EA TER recom mends that you
retain all r eceipts c over ing m aintenance o nyour
small of f--road engine, but POULAN/WEED
EA TERcannot deny w ar r antysolelyfor thelack
of receipts or for your failure to ensur e the per-
formanceof allscheduledmaintenance. A sthe
small of f--road engine owner, you should be
awar e that POULAN/WEED EATER m ay deny
you warranty c overage if your small off--road
engine ora part o f it hasfailed due to abuse,ne-
glect, impropermaintenance, unappr oved m od-
ifications, or the use of parts not m ade or ap-
proved by the or iginal equipment manufacturer.
You are r esponsible for presenting your small
off--road engine to a POU LAN/WEED EA TER
authorized repair center as soon as a problem
exists. Warr anty r epair s should b e completed in
a reasonable amount of time, not to exceed 30
days. If you have anyquestions regarding your
war r anty r ights and responsibilities, you should

MENCEMENT DATE: The warranty per iod be-
gins on the date the sm all off--road engine is
purchased. LENGTH OF COVERAGE: This
war ranty shall be for a per iod of tw o years from
the initial date of purchase. WH AT IS COV-
ERED: REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT OF
P ARTS. Repair or replacement of any war-
ranted par t will be per form ed at nocharge to the
owner at an appr oved POULAN/WEED EA T-
ER servicing center. If you have any questions
