ON/STOP SWITCH
The ON/STOP SWITCH is used to stop th e
engine.
THROTTLE TRIGGER
The THROTTLE TRIGGER controls engin e
speed.
THRO TTLE LOCK--OUT
The THROTTLE LOCK--OUT must be
pressed before you can squeeze the throttle
trigger . T his feature prevents you from acci-
dentally squeezing the trigger .
CHO KE /FAST IDLE LEVER
The cho ke an d fast idle are set by pu lling the
CHOKE/F AST IDLE LEVER out to the full ex-
tent for cold starting or after r efueling. The
choke provides additional fuel to the engine
d ur ing cold st art ing.
PRIMER BULB
The PRIMER BULB circulate s fuel to the car-
bureto r to provide quicker starting.
CHAIN BRAKE
The CHA IN B R AK E is a de v ice desig ned to
stop th e cha in if kickba c k occu r s. The chain
brake activates automatically in t he even t of
kickb ack. Th e chain br ake activates manua lly
if the front hand guard is pushed forward. The
ch ain brake is dise ng age d by p ulling the front
hand guard back toward the front handle as far
as possible.
CHAIN TENSION
Itis n ormal fora n ew chainto stretchduring the
first 15 minutes of operation. You should check
your chain tension frequent ly. See CHAIN
TENSION unde r the ASSEMBL Y section.

Muffler is very hot dur-
ing andafteruse. Do nottouchthe muffler o r
allow combustible material such as dry
grass or fuel to do so.
