The ignition timing is fixed, non-adjustable.

ReplacethesparkplugyearlyusingaCham-
pion RCJ--8Y plug. Spark plug gap is .025”.

LAN/WEED EATER must warrant the emis-
sioncontrolsystemonyourlawnandgarden
equipmentenginefortheperiodsoftimelisted
belowprovidedtherehasbeennoabuse,ne-
glect, or improper maintenanceof yourlawn
andgardenequipmentengine.Youremission
control system includes parts such as the
carburetor and the ignitionsystem. Wherea
warrantableconditionexits,POULAN/WEED
EATER will repair your lawn and garden
equipment engine at no cost to you. Ex-
pensescoveredunderwarrantyincludediag-
nosis,partsandlabor.MANUFACTURER’S
WARRANTYCOVERAGE:Ifanyemissions
related part on your engine (as listed under
EmissionsControlWarrantyPartsList)isde-
fective or a defect in the materials or work-
manship of the engine causes the failure of
suchanemissionrelatedpart, thepart willbe
repaired or replaced by POULAN/WEED
EATER.OWNER’SWARRANTYRESPON-
SIBILITIES: As the lawn and garden equip-
ment engine owner, you are responsible for
theperformanceoftherequiredmaintenance
listed in your Owner’s Manual. POULAN/
WEED EATER recommends that you retain
all receipts covering maintenance on your
lawnandgardenequipmentengine,butPOU-
LAN/WEED EATER cannot deny warranty
solelyforthelackofreceiptsorforyourfailure
to ensure the performance of all scheduled
maintenance. Asthelawnandgardenequip-
mentengineowner,youshouldbeawarethat
POULAN/WEEDEATERmaydenyyouwar-
rantycoverageifyourlawnandgardenequip-
ment engine or a part of it has failed due to
abuse, neglect, improper maintenance, un-
approved modifications, or the use of parts
not made or approved by the original equip-
