BLOWER SAFETY
S
Use only in daylight or in good art ificial
light.
S
Inspect the ar ea before using the unit.
Remove all debris and hard objects
such as r o ck s,glass, wire,etc., t h atcan
ricochet, be throw n, or otherwise cause
injury or damage during operation.
S
Avoid accidental start ing. Be sure the
sw itc h is in the
OFF
position and keep
your hand and f ingers away from t he
switch while connecting t he unit to t he
pow e r so urc e or when carr yin g a unit
connected to the power source.
S
Never run the unit without the proper
equipment attached. When used as a
blower,always install ablower t ube.Use
only r ecommended att achments. D o
not usewith any opening blocked, Keep
free of dust, lint, hair and anything that
may reduce air flow .

To avoid spreading fire,do notuse b low-
er near leaf or brush fires, fireplaces,
barbec u e p it s , ashtray s, etc.

Never p lace objects inside the blower
tubes; always direct the blowing debris
away from people, animals, glass, and
solid objects such as trees, automo-
biles, walls, etc. The forc e o f air c an
cause rocks, dirt, or sticks to be thrown
or to ricochet which can hurt people or
animals, break glass, or cause other
damage.

Never u se for spreading chemicals, fer-
tilizers , or any other sub stances which
may contain toxic materials.
VACUUM SAFETY
S
Stop themotor and disconnect the pow-
er source before opening the air inlet
door or attempting to insert or r emove
the vacuum tubes. The motor must be
stopped and the impeller blades no
longer turning to avoid serious injury
from the rotating blades.
S
Hard objects can be thrown through the
collection bag or the housing and b e-
come dangerous missiles which can
cause serious injury to t he operator or
others.
S
When using the vacuum attachment,
the unit is designed to pick up dr y mate-
rial such as leaves, grass, small twigs,
and bits of paper . Do not vacuum
stones, gr avel, met al, br oken glass,etc.,
to avoid severe damage to t he impeller .
To av o id the po ssib ility of elec tric a l
shock, do not attempt to vacuum water
or other liquids.

Never run the unit without the pr oper
equipment attached. When used as a
vacuum, always install vacuum tubes
and collection bag assembly.Makesure
the collectio n bag as s em bly is com-
pletely zipped when unit is r unning t o
avoid flying debris. Use only recom-
mended attachments.

A void situations which could set the col-
lection bag on fire. Do not vacuum dis-
carded matches, cigars, cigarettes, or
ash f rom fireplaces, barbecue pits,
brush piles, etc. To avoid spr eading fire,
do not use blower near leaf or br ush
fires, fireplaces, bar becue pits, ash-
trays, etc.

Always use the collection bag shoulder
strap when vacuuming to avoid loss of
control.
S
Check air intake openings, elbow tube,
and vacuum tubes fr equently, always
with the unit stopped and the power
source disconnected. Keep vents and
tubes free of debris which can accumu-
late and r estrict proper air flow. Do not
use with any opening blocked, Keep
free of dust, lint, hair and anything t hat
may reduce air flow .
