ON/STOP SWITCH
The ON/STOP SWITCH is used to stop the
engine.
THROTTLE TRIGGER
The THROTTLE TRIGGER controls engine
speed.
THROTTLE LOCKOUT
The THROTTLE LOCKOUT must be pressed
before you can squeeze the throttle trigger.
This feature prevents you from accidentally
squeezing the trigger.
CHOKE/FAST IDLE LEVER
The choke and fast idle are set by pulling the
CHOKE/F AST IDLE LEVER out to the full ex-
tent for cold starting or after refueling. The
choke provides additional fuel to the engine
during cold starting.
PRIMER BULB
The PRIMER BULB circulates fuel to the
carburetor to provide quicker starting.
CHAIN BRAKE
The CHAIN BRAKE is a device designed to
stop the chain if kickback occurs. Thechain
brake activates automatically in the event of
kickback. The chain brake activates m anu-
ally ifthe fronthand guardis pushedforward.
The chainbrake is disengaged by pullingthe
front hand guard back toward the front han-
dle as far as possible.
CHAIN TENSION
It isnormal f or anew chain tostretch during f irst
30 minutes of operation. You should check
your chain t ension frequently. See CHAIN
TENSION under th e ASSEMBLY section .
WARNING: Muffler is very hot dur-
ing andafter use. Do nottouch the muffler or
allow combustible material such as dry
grass or fuel to do so.
