ON/ST OP SWI TCH
The ON/STOP SWITCH i s used to stop the
engine.
THROTTLE TRIGGER
The THROTTLE TRIGGER controls engine
speed.
THROTTLE LO CK--OUT
The THROTTLE LOCK--OUT must be
pressed before you can squeeze the throttle
trigger. T his feature prevents you from a cci-
dentally squeezing the trigger .
FAST I D LE LO CK
TheFASTIDLE LOCK holdsthe throttletrigger
in the starting position. Activate the fast idle
lock by pressing the throttle lockout and
squeezing the throttle trigger. With the throttle
trigger squeezed, press the fast idle l ock. Re-
lease thethrottlelockoutand trigger whilehold-
ing the fast idle lock button.
CHOKE KNOB
The CHOKE KNOB activates the choke to
provideadditionalfueltotheengine during cold
starting.
PRIMER BULB
The PRIMER BULB circulates fuel to the car-
buretor to provide quicker starting.
CHAIN BRA KE
The CHAIN BRAKE is a device d esigned to
stop the chain if kickback occurs. The chain
brake a ctivates automatically in the event o f
kickback. The chain brake activates manually
if the front hand guard is pushed forward. The
chain brake is disengaged by pulling the front
handguardback towardthe fronthandle as far
as possible.
CHAIN TENSI ON
Itisnormalforanew chaintostretchduringfirst
15 minutes of operation. You should check
your chain tension frequently. See CHAIN
TENSION und er the ASSEM BLY section .
WARNING: Muffler is very hot dur-
ingandafteruse. Donottouchthemuffleror
allow combustible material such as dry
grass or fuel to do so.
