ON/STOP S WITCH
The ON/STO P SWITCH is used to st op the
engine.
THROTTLE TRIGGER
The THR OTTLE TR IGG ER c ontrols engine
speed.
THROTTLE LOCK--O UT
The T H R O TTLE LOCK--OUT must be
pressed before you can squeeze the throttle
trigger. This feature p r events you from acci-
dentally squeezing the trigger.
F A ST IDLE LO CK
The FAST IDLE LOC K holdsthe throttle tr igger
in the starting positio n . Activ a te the fast idle
lock by pr essing the thr ottle lockout and
squeezing t he throttle t r igger. W ith the t hr ottle
trigger squeezed, press the fast idle lock. Re-
lease the throttle lockout and triggerwhile hold-
ing the fas t idle lo c k button.
CHOKE KNOB
The CH OKE KNOB activates the choke to
provide additional fuel to the engine during cold
starting.
PRIMER BULB
The PR IM ER BULB cir c u la tes f u e l to th e car-
buretor to provide quicker starting.
CHAIN BRAKE
The CHAIN BR AKE is a device designed to
stop the chain i f kickback occur s. The chai n
brake activates aut om atically i n the e vent of
kickback. The chain brake activates manually
if the front hand guar d is pushed f or w ar d. The
chain brake is disengaged by pulling the fr ont
hand guardback tow ar d the front handle as far
as possible.
CHAIN T ENSION
It isnormalfora newchain tostretch dur ingfirst
15 minutes of operation. You should check
your chain tension frequently. See CH AIN
TENSION under the ASSEMBLY sec tion.
WARNING:
Muffler is very hot dur-
ing and after u se. Do not touch the muffler or
allow combustible material such as dry
grass or fuel to do so.
