provided there has been no abuse, negl ect, or
improper maintenance of your small off--road

exists, PO ULAN /W EED EA TER will repair
your smalloff--road engine engine at no costto
you. Expenses covered under warr anty in-
clude diagnosis, parts and labor. MANUFAC-
TURER’S WARRANTY COVERAGE: If any
emissionsrelated par ton yourengine (aslisted
under Emissions C ontr ol Warr anty Par ts List)
is defective ora defect inthematerials orwor k-
manship of the engine causes the failure of
such an emission related par t, the part will be
repairedorreplacedby PO ULAN /W EEDEAT-
ER. OWNER’S WARRANTY RESPONSIBI-
LITIES: As the small off--road engine engine
owner, you are responsible for the perfor-
mance of the required maintenance listed in
your Owner’s Manual. POULAN/WEED EAT-
ER recommends that you retain all r eceipts
covering maintenance on your small off--road
engine, but POULAN/WEED EATER cannot
deny warranty solely for the lack of receipts or
for your failure to ensur e theperformance of all
scheduled maintenance. As the small off--
road engine engine owner, you should be
awar e that POULAN/WEED EATER may
deny you w ar r anty coverage if your small off--
roadengine engine ora part of it has failed due
to abuse, neglect, im proper maintenance, un-
approved modifications, or the use of parts not
made or approved by the o r iginal equipment
manufacturer. Yo uareresponsible forpresent-
ing y our small of f--road engine to a POUL AN/
WEED EATER authorized repair center as
soon as a pr oblem exists. War r anty repairs
should be com pleted in a reasonable amount
of time, notto exceed 30days. If youhave any

RANTY COMMENCEMENT DATE: The
war ranty period begins on the date the small
off--road engine is purchased. LENGTH OF
COVERAGE: This w ar r antyshall beforaperi-
od of two years fr om the initial date of pur-
chase. WHAT IS COVERED : REPA IR O R
REPLACEMENT OF PARTS. Repair or re-
placement of any warranted part will be per-
formed at no charge to the owner at an ap-
proved POULAN /W EED EA TER ser v icin g

1--800--554--6723 W ARRANTY PERIOD:
Any warr anted part which is not scheduled for
replacement as r equired maintenance, or
which is scheduled only for r egular inspection
to the effect of “ repairor replace asnecessary”
shall be warr anted for 2 years. Any warranted
part which is scheduled for replacement as re-
quired maintenance shall be warranted for the
periodof time upto the first scheduledreplace-
ment point for that part. DIAGNOSIS: The
ownershall not be chargedfor diagnosticlabor
which leads to the determination that a war-
ranted part is defective if the diagnostic workis
performed at an approved POU L AN/WEED
EATER ser vicing center. CONSEQUENTIAL
DAMAGES: POULAN /W EED EATER may
be liable for damages to other engine compo-
nents caused by the failure of a war r antedpart
still under w arr anty. WHAT IS NOT C O V-
ERED: All failures caused by abuse, neglect,
or improper maintenance are not covered.
ADD--ON OR MODIFIED PARTS: The useof
add--on or modified parts can be gr ounds for
disallowing awarr anty claim. POUL AN/WEED
EATER is not liable to cover failures of w ar-
ranted par ts caused by the use of add--on or
modified parts. HOW TO FILE A CLAIM: If
you have any questions regarding your war-
