THROTTLE LEVER
The THR OTTLE LEVER is used to select the
desired engine speed and to stop the engine.
Mov ethe throttlelever tothe

speed oper ation. Move the throttle lever to the
position for i dle speed. To stop the engine,
move the throttle lever to the STO P position.
PRIMER BUTTON
The P R IMER BUTTON removes air from the
carbureto r and fuel line s and fills them with fuel.
This allows you t o start t he engine with fewer
pulls on the starter rope. Activate primer button
by pr essingit andallowing it to returnto itsorigi-
nal position.
CHOKE LEVER
The CH O KE helps to supply fuel to the engine
to aid in cold sta rting. Activate th e ch o ke by
moving t he choke l ever to the F U LL CHOKE
position. Afterengine at temptsto star t, m ovethe
choke lever to the HALF CH OKE position.
Once engine star ts, move c hoke lever to the
RUN pos ition.

OPERATING TIPS

While vacuuming or blowing debris, hold
the unit with the muffler s ide facing away
from your body and clothes (see illustration
above).

To reduce the risk of hearing loss
associated with sound level(s), hearing
protection is required.

To reduce the risk of i njury associated with
contacting rotating par ts, stop the engine be-
fore installing or removin g attac h ments. D o
not operate without guard(s) in place.

Operate pow er equipm ent only a t r easonable
hours--not ear ly in the morning or late at night
whenpeople m ight bedisturbed. Complywith
times listed in local ordinances. Usual recom-
mendations are 9:00 a .m. to 5:00 p.m.,
Monday though Saturday.

To reduce noise levels, limit the number of
pieces of equipment used at any one time.

To reduce noise levels, operate power
blowers at the lowest possible throttle
speed to do the job.

Use rakes and brooms to loosen debris be-
fore blowing.

In dusty conditions, slightly dampen sur-
faces or use a mister attachment when wa-
ter is available.

Conserve water by using power blow er s
instead of hoses for many lawn and garden
applications, including areas such as gutters,
screens, patios, grills , porches, and gar dens.
