worn during assembly.

repeat all steps to ensure your sawis proper ly
assembled and all fasteners ar e secure. Al-
ways wear gloves when handling the chain.

1. Loosen and remove thechain brakenuts
and the chain brake from the saw.
2. Remove the plastic shipping spacer (if
present).

3. Turn adjusting screw on bar counter-
clockwise tomovethe tensioning rackas
far as it will go toward the front of the bar .

4. Slide the barbehind clutch drum until bar
stops against clutch drum sprocket.

5. Prepar e the chain by checking the proper
direction. Without followingthe illustra tionit
is easyto place thechain on the sawinthe
wrong direction . U s ethe illustra tio n o f the
chain to determine the proper direction.
