ON/ST OP SWITCH
The ON/STOP SWITCH is used to sto p the
engine.
THROTTLE TRI GGE R
The THROTTLE TRIGGER controls engine
speed.
THROTTLE LOCK--OUT
The THROTTLE LOCK--OUT m ust be
pressed before you can squeeze the throttle
trigger. This feature prevents you from a cci-
dentally squeezing the trigger.
CHOKE/ FAST IDLE LEVE R
The choke and fast idle are set by pulling the
CHOKE/F AST IDLE LEVER out to th e full ex-
tent for cold starting or after refueling. The
choke provides additional fuel to the engine
during cold starting.
PRIMER BULB
The PRIMER BULB circulates fuel to the car-
buretor to provide quicker starting.
CHAIN BRAKE
The CHAIN BRAKE is a device designed to
stop the chain if kickback occurs. The chain
brake a ctivates automatically in the event of
kickback. The chain brake activates manually
if the f ront hand guard is pushed forward. The
chain brake is disengaged by pulling the front
hand guard back t oward the front handle as far
as possible.
CHAIN TENSION
It isnormal fora new chainto stretch during the
first 15 minutes of operation. Y ou should check
your chain tension frequently. See CHAIN
TENSION under the ASSEMBLY section.
WARNING: Muffler is very hot dur-
ingand a fteruse. Do nottouch t hemuffler or
allow combustible material such as dry
grass or fuel to do so.
