If you have a question concerning your ETX-LS
telescope, call the Meade Instruments Customer
Service Department at (800) 626-3233. Customer
Service hours are 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Pacic Time,
Monday through Friday. In the unlikely event that
the ETX-LS requires factory servicing or repairs,
before returning the telescope to the factory, write
or call the Meade Customer Service Department
to provide an explanation of the problem, as well as
your name, address and daytime telephone number.
The great majority of servicing issues can be resolved
by telephone, avoiding return of the telescope to
the factory.

ETX-LS SD Card for Updates and
Image Storage
Your ETX-LS telescope comes with a “Mini SD Card”
slot located in the front edge of the fork arm. With a
user supplied “Mini SD Card” or a “Micro SD Card” in
a Mini Card Holder, you can update your telescope
rmware or save images made with the ECLIPS CCD.
Only use SD Cards bearing the ofcial SD logo. Each
card must be properly formatted, using a PC utility or
AutoStar Suite, before use in the ETX-LS. The card
must be formatted with the FAT32 File System.
Your ETX-LS will not power-up with an SD Card
inserted in its slot unless you are updating the rmware
from the card. This includes an SD Card used to store
images from the ECLIPS camera. To ensure the
application software boots normally, remove the SD
Card before switching on the ETX-LS LightSwitch. If
you observe that the ETX-LS is taking a long time to
power-up, please ensure the SD Card slot is empty
and cycle the ETX-LS LightSwitch off and on.
