5. Setuptroubleshooting:Ifthesensordatafailstodisplayforanyoftheoutdoorsensors
within10minutes,(“‐‐‐“isdisplayed),removethebatteriesfromallunitsfor1minute
andstarttheSetupprocedureagainatStep1.
MOUNTINGTHESENSORSANDPLACEMENTOFTHEWIRELESSDISPLAY:
IMPORTANT:Ensurethatallofthesensordatacanbereceivedattheintendedmounting
locationsbeforeyoudrillmountingholes.Thewindandrainsensorshaveawirelessrangeof
200‐feet&thethermo‐hygrosensorhasawirelessrangeof200‐feet.Keepinmindthatthe
rangesequatetoanopenairscenariowithnoobstructions.Eachobstruction(roof,walls,
floors,ceilings,etc.)willreducetherange.
Thethermo‐hygrosensormeasuresoutdoortemperature&humidityandcollectsthedata
fromthewindandtherainsensors.Itsendsalloutdoorweatherdatatothewirelessdisplay,
sothethermo‐hygrosensormustbewithinthe200‐footwirelessrangeofthewirelessdisplay.
Thisallowsthewindandrainsensorstobeplacedrelativetothethermo‐hygrosensorrather
thanthewirelessdisplay.SeeWirelessDataDiagramabove.
Thewindandrainsensorsmustbemountedwithinthe200‐footwirelessrangeofthe
thermo‐hygrosensorandonthesamesideofthehouse.
Thewirelessdisplaymustbewithinthe80‐footwirelessrangeoftheUSBtransceiverto
sendweatherdatatothePC.
Inaddition,915MHzsensorstransmitbetterataminimummountedheightof6feet.
Ifthesensorwirelessicons dropfromthedisplayasyoumovethemintotheirintended
locations,thesensorsmaybetoofarfromthewirelessdisplay.Trymovingthewirelessdisplay
