Utilisation
• Check to ensure that the string of lights is unda-
maged and all parts and remnants of the packa-
ging are removed from it.
• Check to ensure that every pinned socket con-
tains a bulb. If not, insert replacement bulbs.
• Insert the connector plug
w
into the connector
power pack
q
.
• Push the retainer nut
e
over it and screw it tight.
• Drape the string of lights over the object to be
decorated.
• Insert the plug of the connector power pack
q
into a wall socket to take the string of lights into
use.
• If the string of lights does not emit light:
Check that each individual bulb
r
is sitting firm-
ly in its pinned socket
y
and the plug of the po-
wer pack
q
is firmly held in the wall socket.
• Should individual lamps not emit light:
Replace them as described in the following.
Changing bulbs
Risk of personal injury!
• First, remove the connector power pack
q
from
the wall socket. The string of lights is "live" for as
long as the connector power pack
q
is connected
to the power source. Risk of electrical shock!
• After immediate use, first allow the bulb to cool
down. Risk of Burns!
Caution:
The bulbs have a pinned socket, not a threaded socket!
Do not attempt to screw the bulbs out and do not
use any tools. If you do, the bulb glass could splinter.
Risk of injury!
• Remove the bulb
r
together with the pinned
plug
t
from the pinned socket
y
.
• For replacements, only use the type of bulb de-
tailed in the technical data. Using more power-
ful bulbs, or those with different wattages, could
lead to the other bulbs becoming too hot or to
an overload of the power cable.
• Insert the new bulb
r
complete with its pinned
plug
t
into the pinned socket
y
. The pinned
plug
t
is at the lead, thus the bulb cannot be
incorrectly inserted.
