Fitting the trimmer guard and
trimmer head
S Fit the co rrect trimmer gua rd (A) for use
with the trimmer head. Hook the trimm er
guard/combination guard onto the fitting on
the shaft and secu re with the wing nut (B).

TE: Make sure unit is assembled cor-
rectly as shown in this manual.
Fitting the loop hand le
S Position the handle on the shaft. Note
that the handle must be mounted be-
tween the two arrows on the shaft.
S Fit the screw, securing plate and wing
nut as shown in the diagram.
S Tighten the wing nut.

S Turn the shaft until one of the holes in the
dust cup aligns with the corresponding
hole in the gear housing.
S Insert a small screwdriver (C) into the
aligned holes to lock the shaft.
S Screw on the trim mer head (D) in t he op-
posite direction to t he direction of rota-
tion.

S To dismantle, follow the instruction s in
the reverse order.
