Lubrication
Always disconnect the power from the
tool before performing any mainte-
nance.
• Place one drop of light machine oil in
the shear jaws (as shown in Figure 6)
before every use. Wipe off any excess
oil to avoid dust build-up.

MAINTENANCE

• Place a few drops of heavy oil on the
bearing assembly (Figure 7). Remove
the gear box cover and lubricate the
backside of the bearing assembly.
Changing Motor Brushes
Carbon motor brushes are an important
factor in maintaining quality power tool per-
formance.
To change the motor brushes:
1. Remove the four screws in the handle
cover (Figure 8).

2. Remove the old motor brushes from
the side of the motor casing (Figure
9).
3. Replace the carbon brushes and reat-
tach the handle cover.
