4.1 BATTERY SERVICE (REPLACEMENT)
The battery shipped with the generator has been provided fully
charged. Caution must be taken when connecting the battery.
NOTE:
A battery may lose some of it’s charge when not in use for
prolonged periods of time. (See the "Know the Generator"
section.)
To replace the battery:
Remove end panel as shown in Figure 5 in the "Know the
Generator" section.
Remove hold-down bracket.
Disconnect the RED battery cable to the battery Positive
terminal (+).
Disconnect the BLACK battery cable to the battery Negative
terminal (–).
To install a new battery:
Reverse the steps above and follow Figure 18.
Double check all connections to ensure they are in the correct
location and secure. See Figure 18.
