1 - Change more often when operating under a heBvy load or
in high ambient temperatures.
2 - Service more often when operating in dirly or dusty condi[ions.
3 - Replace blades more often when mowing in sandy Soil
4 - Not required if equipped with maintenance-free battery.
5 - Tighten front axle pivot pelt to 35 ft.-Ibs, maximum.
Do not overtighten.
GENERAL RECOMMENDATIONS
The warranty on this tractor does not
cover items that have been subjected to
operator abuse or negligence. To receive Zerk
full value from the warranty, operator
must maintain tractor as instructed in this

Some adjustments will need to be made Bearing

tractor.
At least once a season, check to see if
you should make any of the adjustments
described in the Service and Adjustments @Engine
section of this manual.

the spark plug, clean or replace air filter,

interlock systems for proper operation.

(_ General Purpose Grease
REFER TO Maintenance "ENGINE" SECTION
IMPORTANT: Do not oil or grease the
pivot points which have special nylon
bearings. Viscous lubricants will attract
dust and dirt that will shorten the life of the
self-lubricating bearings. If you feel they
must be lubricated, use only a dry, pow-
dered graphite type lubricant sparingly.
