Weak or dead battery,,
Corroded battery terminals.
Loose or damaged wiring°
Faulty solenoid or starter_
Cutting too much grass/too fast,
Throttte in "CHOKE" position,
Build-up of grass, leaves and
trash under mower,
Dirty air filter_
Low oil level/dirty oil.
Faulty spark plug.
Dirty fuel filter
Stale or dirty fuel,
Water in fuel r
Spark plug wire loose.
Dirty engine air screen/fins,
Dirty/clogged mufflerr
Loose or damaged wiring.
Carburetor out of adjustment.
Engine valves out of adjustment,
Worn, bent or loose blade.
Bent blade mandrel
Loose/damaged part(s),
Faulty operator-safety presence
control system.

CORRECTION
Recharge or replace battery.
Clean battery terminals_
Check all wiring,
Check/replace solenoid or starter°
Raise cutting height/reduce
speed,,
Adjust throttle control°
Clean underside of mower
housing.
Clean/replace air filler_
Check oil level/change oil.
Clean and regap or change spark
plug,
Replace fue! filter.
Empty fuel tank and refill tank with
fresh, clean gasoline,
Empty fuel tank and carburetor,
refill tank with flesh gasoline and
replace fuel filter.
Connect and tighten spark plug
wirer
Clean engine air screen/fins.
Clean/replace muffler.
Check all wiring..
See "To Adjust Carburetor" in
Service and Adjustments section.
Contact a Sears or other qualified
service center
Replace blade. Tighten blade bolt
Contact a Sears or other
qualified service center
Tighten loose part(s).
Replace damaged pads.
Check wiring, switches and
connections. If not corrected,
contact a Sears or other
