2. Removealllooseparts.
3. Removeloosepackingmaterial.

1. Liftunitfromthereartodetachit fromunderlyingcartonmaterial
androllunitoutofcarton.
2. Checkcartonthoroughlyforanyotherlooseparts.

Forshippingpurposes,thedischargecoveron yourmowerisheldin
an uprightpositionbya retainer.Removethe retainerasfollows:
1. Pushthedischargecoverup towardstheengine.Holdingthe
deflectorinthis position,removethe retaineranddiscard.See
Figure1.
2. Lowerthedischargecovercarefullykeepingyourfingersoutof
theway.

1. Performthefollowingsequenceforthe handlesetup:

A. Lifttheupperhandleupfromfoldedpositionandpullitto
extendedpositionfollowingthearrowin Figure2.Thehandle
shouldclickintothis position.
B. Makesurethecarriageboltisseatedproperlyinthehandle.
Tightenthestarknobssecuringtheupperhandletothe
lowerhandle.
