GENERAL RECOMMENDATIONS

LUBRICATION
Alwaysstopthe motorandremovekeybeforecleaning,lubricating
or performinganyrepairsor maintenanceonthe lawnmower.
Alwayswearsafetyglassesduringoperationorwhileperformingany
adjustmentsor repairs.
DECK CARE
The undersideofmowerdeckshouldbecleanedaftereachuseas
grassclippings,leaves,dirt andotherdebriswill accumulate.This
accumulationof grassclippings,etc.,is undesirableas itwillpromote
rustandcorrosion.
1. Removeany buildupof grassandleavesonor aroundthemotor
cover(donot usewater).Wipe themowercleanwitha dry cloth
occasionally.
Toreducetheriskof electricshock,donot exposethe mowerto
water.
2. Ifdebrisisallowedto buildup onthe undersideoftheunit,tiltthe
mowerandscrapeit cleanwitha suitabletool(makecertainthe
keyis removed).

Lubricatethe wheelsatleastoncea seasonwithlightoil (ormotor
oil). If wheelsareremovedfor any reason,lubricatesurfaceof the
pivotarm andinnersurfaceofthewheelwithlightoil.

To removetrailingshield,lift reardoor,andbend(bow)the trailing
shieldinwardoneachsideto releasetabsfromthe holesinthe
mowerframe.SeeFigure11.
