MAINTENANCE AND
SERVICING
Procedures not specically
explained in this manual must
be performed only by a qualied
technician.
TO PREVENT
SERIOUS INJURY
FROM ACCIDENTAL
OPERATION:
Release the Trigger and unplug
the tool from its electrical outlet
before performing any
inspection, maintenance, or
cleaning procedures.
TO PREVENT SERIOUS INJURY
FROM TOOL FAILURE:
Do not use damaged equipment.
If abnormal noise or vibration
occurs, have the problem
corrected before further use.
BEFORE EACH USE,1. inspect the
general condition of the tool. Check for
loose hardware, misalignment or binding
of moving parts, cracked or broken parts,
damaged electrical wiring, and any
other condition that may affect its safe
operation.
AFTER USE,2. wipe external surfaces of
the tool with clean cloth.
3. WARNING! If the supply cord of
this power tool is damaged, it must be
replaced only by a qualied service
technician.
Blade Maintenance
Unplug the tool.1.
Using the Hex Tool, remove the three 2.

3. The three Blades (24, 25, and 27) and
the two Bushings (26) will be loose.
Clean, replace or sharpen the blades as 4.
required. Replace blades as a set only.
Reassemble by repositioning the Blades, 5.
and Bushings as illustrated. Replace the
Head Bolts and tighten them securely.
Test the product to be sure that it is 6.
working properly.

Tighten the Head Bolts (28).d.
Test the direction of the waste curl and e.

Note: If the Head Bolts (28) are
overtightened, then the Center Blade
(25) will not move freely enough, causing
premature wear, or possibly preventing
the tool from operating.
If the Head Bolts are not tight enough,
the tool will not make a smooth cut in the
material.
