I have belt slip on the drive pulleys I have put ...

I have belt slip on the drive pulleys I have put the tension springs to the highest setting. It appears the belt is contacting the center rib on the drive pulley not allowing belt to seat into grooves. Do the pulleys wear on these mowers over time? This is a low use mower with 6 seasons on it.
