Trying to get the rear wheel off MTD riding lawn m...

Trying to get the rear wheel off MTD riding lawn mower .I have remove the screw and the washer,but the wheel will not come off .I use oil to lubicate same,but still can not get the rim off in order to fix the flat. Any suggestions?
