Question About White Lawn Mower 833E

I recently was using my white 833e when I lost all the gears except for first. it does not matter what position I have the gear selection handle it always goes forward in low gear. all the belts are in good shape and motor is running top notch . what is wrong with the transmission? is it shot or is there something I can do?
